The Passport Seva Project is a government initiative carried out by the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India. Its aim is to provide efficient and transparent passport services to Indian citizens. This project is one of the largest endeavors under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), and it is being executed through a public-private partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the private partner. With 77 Passport Seva Kendras spread across the country, the project is already up and running.

In line with its commitment to mobile enablement, MEA has launched a mobile application called 'mPassport Seva', catering to smartphone users. This app offers a range of services, including tracking the status of passport applications, identifying the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), and providing general information on the various steps involved in obtaining a passport.
